ABOUT ABIRAMI SRITHARAN
I am a third-year Medical Student at University College London (UCL), graduating in 2029, currently intercalating in Anatomy, Cell and Developmental Biology and actively seeking opportunities that bridge clinical insight with research and innovation.I’m deeply interested in clinical research and translational science, particularly where it intersects with improving patient outcomes and medical technology. My academic curiosity is matched by hands-on experience in independent research and a drive to learn from experts across disciplines.Leadership, teamwork, and service are central to how I work. I currently serve as President of the UCL Tamil Society, where I lead teams to organise events, support student communities, and build inclusive platforms that empower others. My roles have strengthened my confidence, resilience, organisation and empathy - qualities I bring to every project, team and challenge I take on.Outside of medicine and leadership, I’m passionate about personal development and professional growth - whether through attending conferences, expanding my network, or exploring how healthcare, technology and business intersect.I describe myself as motivated, resilient, confident, empathetic and a born leader, and I’m always keen to connect with peers, mentors, and collaborators who share a passion for healthcare, research and impact.
