I am a seasoned Data Science Operations Manager with a decade of experience, specialising in leading the transformation of data strategies within the aviation and hospitality sectors. My career has been highlighted by successful stints in building and managing data science teams, implementing data science strategies and roadmaps in large FTSE 100 companies, and advising C-suite leaders on data science strategies.My hands-on experience extends to building and deploying machine learning data products, applying software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, functional programming, object-oriented programming, and unit testing frameworks. I am proficient in setting up data science platform architectures with particular focus on enabling MLOps and encouraging effective collaboration between cross functional data science and data engineering teams, I also have setup web applications platforms using Kubernetes and Docker workflows. I am skilled in languages like R, Python, SQL, Scala, VBA, and web app frameworks such as Shiny and Streamlit, as well as deep learning frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow. I have a proven ability to lead Data Science engagements, collaborating effectively with technology partners like Databricks and Microsoft, as well as top-tier technology consultancies.In addition to technical skills, I have a strong track record in developing and recruiting data scientists across various levels of experience.
