The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) fights fraud, waste, and abuse in HHS programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Head Start. As a social science research analyst in HHS OIG\'s Office of Evaluation and Inspections (OEI), I perform program evaluations to ensure the effective and efficient provision of human services. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, I assist in every stage of research, from study design to data collection and analysis to the drafting of final reports. As a team member on multiple concurrent studies, I help to provide Congress and HHS with data-driven insights and actionable recommendations so that Federal programs may serve more beneficiaries more effectively.
