ABOUT ABIGAIL HERRINGTON
I advise clients on a range of regulatory and employment law issues in New Brunswick. Working out of McInnes Cooper\'s Saint John office, I provide advice to clients throughout the Province and to lawyers outside New Brunswick needing advice on New Brunswick\'s local regulatory regime. My labour and employment law practice includes advising employers on grievances, human rights obligations, terminations and lay-offs, employment contracts, attendance management and progressive discipline, workplace harassment and occupational health and safety obligations and other legal issues in New Brunswick. I represent employers in the defence of wrongful dismissal lawsuits, human rights complaints, labour board hearings, and other litigation as well as in the enforcement of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality obligations.I also regularly appear as counsel before the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board for motions and hearings and currently welcome opportunities to engage with the energy industry. My regulatory experience includes extensive work in the electricity sector as well as experience with renewable energy, natural gas, hydrogen, and petroleum pricing legislation.
