ABOUT ABIGAIL FRIENDLY
Dr. Abigail Friendly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning, Utrecht University and a fellow at the Global Cities Institute, University of Toronto. She received her PhD in planning from the University of Toronto and her MSc in global politics from the London School of Economics. Her recent work has explored the implementation of the Statute of the City and urban social movements in Brazilian cities, comparative work on land value capture and city diplomacy in São Paulo and Toronto, and national urban policy in Canadian cities.
