I am currently completing a 12-month co-op placement with dual responsibilities in Mine Surveying and Drill & Blast operations. Gaining hands-on experience in open-pit mining, drone surveying, and blast design.Surveying Highlights-Conducted regular drone surveys of pits, dumps, and stockpiles; processed data into 3D mine surfaces-Maintained shovel guidance systems and digital pit designs for operations-Filmed blast events and supported misfire clearance in coordination with Drill & Blast.Drill & Blast Highlights-Designed blast patterns, timing, and explosive loading plans based on geology and engineering specs-Collaborated directly with drill and blast crews to ensure safe, effective blast execution-Managed drilling and loading data in alignment with mine standards.
