The Community Health Planner is a shared position between the Health Department and the Planning Department tasked with promoting the integration of Public Health perspectives and research in Planning policies and collaborating across department on projects at the intersection of health and planning. In this role, I have successfully secured over $1million for the City of Philadelphia\'s Parks and Recreation Department to implement pedestrian improvement projects in Hunting Park, developed materials to clarify the location approval process for operating Farmers Markets in the city, and annually support the Department of Finance with preparing the Capital Budget and Program.
