About Abigail Simmons

I am an Accelerated M.A. Global Affairs Student at the University of Oklahoma. I graduated summa cum laude with my B.A. in International Studies with minors in International Security Studies & International Development from University of Oklahoma in Fall 2025. I graduated with Honors Distinction and a 4.0 GPA. My passion for global affairs arises from my personal experiences being born in Taiwan and international experiences deriving from this. I developed a profound appreciation for cultural diversity and a strong commitment to international human rights and foreign policy. These experiences have shaped my aspiration to contribute to the international community by championing the rights and development of others. Looking ahead, I aim to pursue a career in humanitarian and refugee work, and development with a concentration in the Middle East.

   Promoted to lead server with responsibilities of managing coworkers, handling shift changes, keeping people on task, and handling opening and closing duties, including cleaning restaurant, stocking, and organizing- Greeting customers, taking orders, expoing food and drinks to tables, and processing payments.
