ABOUT ABIGAIL SCHNEIDER
Abigail has a career in ensuring residents can access effective and inclusive social services and public programming. She believes that we create the strongest policy by involving those most impacted by its implementation in the design process. And, we sustain such policy by building mechanisms for ongoing feedback and outcomes management. As an Associate Director of Advisory Services at Social Finance, she works with state and county governments to deploy outcomes based financing mechanisms to expand programming and deploy data-driven decision cycles for ongoing program improvements. Prior to Social Finance, she worked for the City of Birmingham to build rapid re-employment and support services for individuals during COVID-19 and founded a grassroots non-profit advocating for individuals incarcerated in the county’s prison. Her projects have spanned issue areas including: child and elder care, public safety, homelessness, and economic mobility.
