ABOUT ABIGAIL MORIN
I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Connecticut, pursuing a double major in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. To strengthen my reading and writing skills, I contribute as a writer for Her Campus, an online magazine that empowers college women through creative and journalistic expression. I also bring hands-on experience from various branches of government: I’ve interned at a lobbying firm working closely with the Connecticut General Assembly, and I have participated in an experiential internship with the Office of Pretrial Services in the Milford Superior Court, a part of the Connecticut Judicial Branch.In the future, I would like to pursue going to law school where I will receive my JD and ultimately practice law. My main desire is to specialize in Immigration Law and help defend the rights and opportunities of immigrants and their loved ones in this country. I am open to additional job and internship opportunities, preferably in law or government to further hone in on my expansive skillset. However, I am a hardworking, easily adaptable individual that can excel in different environments, and would be happy to discuss alternate forms of work.
