About Abigail Mawae

I am a former student-athlete at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where I competed on the Women’s Swim Team and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Communicology. During my time there, I also served as Captain of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, developing leadership and mentorship experience. Prior to law school, I worked in the United States Senate as a Staff Assistant for Josh Hawley. I went on to earn my J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai‘i, where I gained experience in public interest law with the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, externed for the Honorable Michael Seabright, and clerked at Dhillon Law Group. During this time, I also served as President of both the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society, and as Student Regent for the University of Hawai‘i, contributing to governance across the 10-campus system. After passing the Hawai‘i Bar, I now serve as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force.DISCLAIMER: This is my personal account.
