Woah! I never knew so many words existed!\" Looking into the eager eyes of third graders (clutching their new dictionaries), I fell in love with service. While raising funds for local and international charities, I noticed that businesses with clever financial managers were better positioned to give back to the community. I\'m pursuing finance so that I can grow companies and enable them to comfortably serve their communities. As an undergrad, I took steps to learn in and out of the classroom. I completed two internships during my time at BYU. First, I led a team of students to assist a local business in targeting a new customer segment—resulting in an increase in revenue. A year later, I was introduced to corporate finance as a full-time intern with the University of Utah. I developed both technical and relational skills as I completed projects for employees across the organization; I saw first-hand how important finance is to a successful company. Working my first \"big girl\" job as an investment analyst, I strive to be disciplined, detail oriented, and organized. I manage my time effectively to meet deadlines.
