LoFo stands for Love Food, Local Focus and is an organization based on Slow Food principles with a mission to celebrate where food and community connect throughout the Upstate New York Region.Founded in 2012, LoFo was formed as a meeting place that welcomed people of all dietary preferences, and made food the topic of conversation. It hosted crop mobs, Farm Fresh Friday Night Dinners, a food-centric speaker series, family style dinner events, musical brunches, hoop house celebrations, heirloom tomato tastings and secret suppers. Until February 2016 it ran as a brick and mortar operating as a casual health supportive cafe by day, offering unparalleled farm-to-table cuisine by eve.Most notably the \"Cauliflower Controversy of 2014\" was praised by Paul McCartney and his Meatless Monday Campaign(2014), we were hired by Steven Page for the Season Finale of his award winning Canadian Food & Travel Show Illegal Eater (2014) and contracted by Phish to create the first fully operating 200 seat sit-down farm-to-table pop-up restaurant on the site of a 3 Day Festival in Watkins Glen(2015)
