About Abigail Friedman
Abigail Friedman is an international affairs strategic consultant and former US diplomat. A results-oriented leader of people and organizations, Abigail has worked in a broad range of organizational environments including the U.S. executive and legislative branches, non-profits, academia, and the United Nations. Her significant management and leadership experience includes serving as Director for Afghanistan at the White House, running a U.S. Consulate General, and leading a geographically-dispersed team in a war zone. Her international experience spans the Asia Pacific, Europe, Canada and the Arctic. She earned her BA in History of Science at Harvard, a J.D. from Georgetown University, and an MS in Mathematics in 2020 from George Mason University. Specialties: International negotiation; Japan and northeast Asia security; diplomacy and development; civilian-military relations; and governance in fragile-states.
