I’ve had the opportunity to work in a handful of start-ups that have given me the experience to learn the business at all different stages of funding, process, growth, resources, etc. Through all of this, I’ve learned many things, but what currently stands out is the following- Withholding your POV and questions automatically creates a ceiling to your own growth - If you’re uncomfortable, you’re lucky, it means you’re learning - Being authentically you is your greatest strength - Creating a team rooted in belonging is fundamental to producing results - Spending time building systems and coaching to behaviors will prove useful as long as a culture of belonging has been achieved - Never give up on yourself - a little effort and discipline goes a long way I’m enthused that my future growth and learnings will be with GitHub. I was introduced to the product a few years back when I decided I wanted to learn the basics of coding. Coding challenged me in more ways than I’d like to admit, but reading endless lines of code and the collaboration that came with using GitHub helped me learn the fundamentals that led me to graduate from Eleven Fifty Academy. I feel very fortunate to bring my sales development experiences to manage a team of Enterprise sales reps to sell a product that led me to achieve something that I didn’t think was possible. When I’m not learning, creating sales dev systems, coaching my team, in meetings, and campaign planning, I am more than likely spending time outside or telling my dog to “leave it.” Happy to connect!
