Working as an Android Engineer in the Retail Banking team of NatWest Group.Responsibilities:Develop new features for the Retail Banking android application for a variety of NWG brands.Work and have previously worked on products featuring Domestic and International Payments and Short term borrowing.Involved in end to end collaboration with fellow devs in my team, testers and mobile experience managers to deliver feature using cutting edge technology.Work on accessibility fixes for google talkback which make our application more accessible.Refactor legacy code and implement clean architecture pattern with MVVM/MVI for new features which increase code modularity, testability, readability and make it Ui framework independent.Contribute in the ongoing migration from XML to Jetpack compose.Work in entirely agile setup with the use of Atlassian Suite(Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence), Gitlab and Figma to manage and track code changes, documentation and application design.Make use of AI tools like Gitlab Duo in day to day work to increase productivity.
