Windows Services and Delivery, Redmond (2017 – Present) Designed and developed an automation ecosystem called ‘Automated Workflow Engine’ (AWE) for releasing Windows updates for various Windows versions to more than 1 billion devices worldwide. AWE automates the orchestration of release management from issue/bug creation, fix tracking to build/package creation to publishing, and release of the Windows updates including various validations. Worked in the \'Update Publishing\' team to automatically orchestrate the release of Windows Security and Non-Security updates from issue/bug and fix tracking to build, package creation to publishing of the Windows updates. • Hotpatch: Worked across team boundaries to design and prototype rebootless Windows updates. Piloted hotpatch updates for Window Server SKUs. Designed and developed automation around the whole process of tracking/creating//managing/publishing the build, packages, and Windows updates for public preview of the hotpatch rebootless updates for the Windows Server HCI, Windows Server 2022. Designed and developed rebootless hotpatch updates for Windows Client OSes. Automated the whole process for public preview for Windows Insider Program. • Designed and developed automation of multiple new Windows OSes based on changing business needs from Windows 7, Windows 8.1 all the way to Azure Stack OS 22H2 and Windows 11 22H2. • Designed and automated the transition of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 Windows Update process to 2 updates published instead of multiple updates on every ‘Patch Tuesday’. • Spearheaded the transition of Windows update technology from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, where a single update was published instead of multiple updates on every ‘Patch Tuesday’.
