About Abhishek Verma
As the Sales Head of Turbine Upgrades at GE Power, I lead the sales and business development of turbine upgrade projects that offer value propositions of decarbonization, efficiency improvement, uprating, and life extension of the units. I have over 23 years of experience in the power sector, with expertise in EPC and after-sales markets, proposal development, contract negotiation, and risk management. In my current role, I interact with various statutory organizations, state and central utilities, and customers, and support them to frame the futuristic policies and guidelines for the power industry. I also develop and implement strategic plans to improve performance in all aspects of business operations, and drive cross-functional interface within various teams across the global organization. I have contributed to the success of MW turbine island projects, and achieved sales targets and business growth in the India region. My mission is to enable the transition to cleaner and more efficient power generation with GE Power\'s innovative and reliable turbine solutions.
