Demonstrate experience and expertise in most phases of project delivery, including design development, development permit, building permit, tender and construction including working drawing production, contract and construction services, and occupancy.• Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup.• Provide technical expertise for a mix of project types, including residential, commercial, office, and tenant improvements.• Evaluate design alternatives based on site and code requirements.• Provide assistance/guidance with working drawings and specifications, as needed.• Provide quality control for project documents. Demonstrate ability to mitigate risks by identifying, escalating or resolving design and construction issues.• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of (and ability to apply) local, provincial, and national building codes, bylaws, regulations, approval processes, permit amendment and occupancy processes.• Possess knowledge of building materials, construction methods, building envelope design and science, costs, codes and testing protocols applicable to construction documents and constructability, tender process and construction services/contract administration processes.• Support Project Managers, help coordinate project needs by collaborating with consultants, clients and municipal staff and lead project meetings as needed.• Understand and apply building technology and systems to buildings in alignment with design intent. Interpret schematic design intent to ensure inclusion as appropriate into the project documents.• Ability to review and coordinate a construction specification.• Understand project scheduling and anticipate consultant needs for each target.• Conduct periodic site reviews of projects in the construction phase and preparation of field review reports. Demonstrate working knowledge of sequencing on a construction site.• Assist in developing or improving CAD/REVIT standards and firm management policies.
