As a Senior Frontend engineer, I was hired to revamp and enhance the LoAD application for Shell’s Trading & Supply Team. The application provided the traders with a tool to visualize the various phases in the life of a deal, starting from trade entry to final settlement, and provided them a means to drill down the underlying trades to a granular level. The primary accomplishments included – • Led the transformation of a legacy codebase, enhancing data accuracy and user experience. • Migrated the project written in Javascript to Typescript, adhering to strict configuration for improved code quality and maintainability. • Mentored junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and promoting professional development within the team. • Played a pivotal role in making key technical decisions like choosing tech stacks, defining architecture, and setting code standards for the team. • Developed high-performance data visualizations using Highcharts and AgGrid, optimizing the representation of complex information. • Managed and conducted the interview process for hiring new software developers.
