About Abhishek Chatterjee Gdc
With 3+ years of professional experience designing systems, economies, and multiplayer features for a live F2P sports game with over 15M players. As a game designer, I love breaking down why experiences feel fun, fair, and replayable, then translating those insights into concrete mechanics, knobs, and live experiments. Previously at Hitwicket, I revamped matchmaking to reduce multiplayer churn by double digits, redesigned core economy flows to increase revenue per paying user, and ran A/B tests on loot systems that significantly boosted gacha performance.Currently pursuing an MFA in Game Design at NYU, I prototype regularly in Unity and Unreal, script in C# and Blueprint, and build tools and spreadsheets to tune progression, rewards, and difficulty. I’m comfortable collaborating with artists, engineers, and other designers, pitching ideas clearly, and iterating quickly based on feedback, telemetry, and player behavior. I’m especially excited by systems‑heavy, multiplayer, and progression‑driven games—whether that’s competitive FPS, co‑op PvE, or card and roguelike designs that reward mastery over time. For Summer 2026, I’m seeking in‑person Game Design internship roles (multiplayer, systems, economy, card/class/hero design) where I can contribute to real features, learn from experienced teams, and help ship experiences that players want to come back to every day.
