About Abhishek Agarwal
I discovered my passion for Supply Chain and Entrepreneurship while completing my MBA at the University of Houston. After graduation, I was fortunate to find a position at Halliburton that allowed me to expand my capabilities while learning and executing strategic sourcing projects at a global level. I started to apply the best practices I learned in my day to day job to my personal life as well. Be it shopping for mortgage rates, house painting services, or deciding between renting or buying home security equipment, each sourcing project has been unique and so are the solutions. I founded SourcX with the intent to continue tackling simple and complex global sourcing challenges often faced by small to midsize businesses due to the lack of international sourcing experience or presence. I believe there is tremendous sustainable value in finding and partnering with the right supplier, and I want to help U.S. based OEMs do just that. I have seen first hand, the capabilities and professionalism of manufacturers in India. I have witnessed the challenges and requirements of the OEMs in the USA. I want to bridge the two and enable these OEMs to seamlessly leverage sourcing from India by addressing the inherent challenges that may have discouraged them in the past. I want to showcase the technologies and efficiency of the Indian manufacturers and help them earn the right to earn the business. I am an avid sports fan and follow most sports in general but football (soccer) is my favorite to watch and play. Besides just being exciting, I believe there is so much to learn from the dynamic and strategic nature of the game. I am also a huge foodie and love exploring new destinations so I can later experiment in my kitchen.
