Led a team of 5 engineers to deliver performance for Samsung Mobile Graphics chips- Navigated multiple program changes including mitigation and execution strategies for SW dependencies, RTL, and DV schedule slips while still closing performance ahead of proposed schedule- These included working closely with SW and emulation teams for alternate flow and tool chain deliveries, make sure these mitigation plans align with product performance projections, as well as architecture performance closure- Performance point of contact for silicon performance issues- Navigating late silicon asks before customer release (AKA Beauty Contest), multiple ECO’s and closing performance including architecture debugs and SW workarounds, competitive profiling to dissect short-comings in our chip- Several initiatives to eliminate intermediate team dependencies including- Working with workload team to streamline Trace capture and delivery- Working with emulation team to build performance capture infra- Working with SW team to enable new driver flows, performance analysis infra and ideation and experimentation toolchain- Working with DV teams to makes sure complex architecture features are properly closed and solving performance issues for pre-si workarounds
