Professional JourneyI embarked on a significant project as a Research Intern under Dr. Rakesh Matam, focusing on advanced malware classification. Our project, CyberVision: Advanced Visual Malware Classification, leverages the malimg dataset to train CNN models, significantly improving classification accuracy and reducing feature size through innovative techniques like PCA and Information Gain. This work not only honed my skills in machine learning and data analysis but also deepened my understanding of network security threats.Additionally, I extended my expertise into web development and API security during my tenure at Guwahati. I developed a Flask application that simulates and rectifies various API vulnerabilities as outlined in the OWASP API Security Project 2023. This project evolved into a comprehensive platform, API and Vulnerability Scanner, which includes a user-friendly interface to demonstrate real-time security assessments and mitigation strategies.
