Representation in Court- Appear Before the Court: The Senior Panel Counsel represents the Union of India in various cases before the Delhi High Court, including civil, criminal, and constitutional matters- Argue Cases: Argue on behalf of the Union of India, presenting legal arguments, interpreting laws, and advocating for the government\'s position.2. Legal Advice and Opinion- Provide Legal Opinions: Offer legal advice and opinions to government departments and ministries on matters that may be subject to judicial review or litigation- Review Drafts: Review drafts of affidavits, counter-affidavits, rejoinders, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound and align with the government\'s interests.3. Case Management- Monitor Cases: Keep track of all ongoing cases involving the Union of India at the Delhi High Court, ensuring timely filing of necessary documents and compliance with court orders- Coordinate with Government Departments: Coordinate with various government departments to gather necessary information, documents, and instructions to effectively represent the Union of India in court. Drafting Legal Documents- Prepare Pleadings: Draft pleadings such as writ petitions, appeals, applications, and other legal documents required for court proceedings- Affidavits and Counter-Affidavits: Prepare affidavits and counter-affidavits in response to petitions filed against the Union of India. Research and Analysis- Conduct Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on recent judgments, laws, and regulations that may impact cases involving the Union of India- Analyze previous judgments and case laws to build strong arguments and strategies for ongoing cases.6. Collaboration with Other Counsel for supervision.7. Compliance with Court Orders- Ensure that all orders passed by the court are complied with promptly. This includes filing compliance reports or taking necessary actions as directed by the court.
