IN RSPL (India’s leading detergent brand “GHARI” with top line of Rs. Cr. having 32 plants pan India)• I took control of finance and accounts department with strength of 275 people. Under my leadership, the entire function which had very musty working style metamorphosed into a dynamic team of 118 members. He brought in the strategic insight into the business and became the first point of contact for management for any strategic initiatives. Undertook the following in doing so:o Reorganised the org structure by moving from plant clusters to functional clusters o Started the month end closure process and initiated finance MIS process right from scratch which helped in defining operational KRA’s also. o Conceptualised, initiated and automated the budget process in the organisation there by defining operational targets.o Partnering IT for automation of SAP process, cutting down redundant processes and activities and developing review mechanism• I undertook strategic initiatives thereby bringing the required thought leadership and cost-cutting initiatives:o Made leaders responsible for their action and related cost of operations by redesigned and aligning the DOA with origination objective (implementing operational KRA’s)o Redefined procurement process through formation of techno-commercial committee. o Initiated cost cutting drive through ‘Manthan 2.0’ where in we commissioned Deloitte to reengineer the business model with thrust on EBITA enhancement.o Realigned the internal audit process to have independent audit process. • Streamlined GST and aligning the areas where GST can be save• Made the Company ready to go public there by setting up the compliance office, guided the board on its composition with respect to its requirement, strengthened the annual report / MD & A, setting up the ESG governances structure etc. In SRB (EY)I have led and supported some large pursuits and wins for Audit team of SRB. i have led the pursuit of RSPL, Jamna Auto, SKH Group companies.I have more than 13 years of extensive experience in audit and financial reporting advisory services under Indian GAAP as well as US GAAP & IFRS. I have led many GAAP/reverse GAAP conversion including INDAS conversion engagements and also worked as subject matter expert in resolving complex accounting issues with respect to business combination, consolidation and revenue recognition. I have also led the projects on advising on implementation of IFC to many large corporates.
