About Abhishek Deshmukh

I have a total of 8 years of experience and for the past 6.5 years I have been working with Amazon as an SDE 2. In my experience of working at Amazon, I have had the opportunity to work on several different projects requiring different skill sets. I have worked on projects which required me to collaborate with different teams, work with them to finalise the design, implement it and deliver the project end-to-end. I also have had the opportunity to work with Principal Engineers in Amazon during design reviews. Working at Amazon has also allowed me to find ways for innovation and automation of manual tasks wherever possible. Also got the opportunity to work with a team of 3-4 members on a single project and drive the end-to-end design and provide guidance to other SDEs working on the project. This has enabled me to develop new services from scratch and also provided me opportunities to provide guidance to other SDEs. Technologies worked upon: SNS, SQS, CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, AWS Glue, S3, DDB, IAM, EventbridgeApart from this, I have also contributed to Operational Excellence and Engineering Excellence for the team and helped the team in debugging new issues and providing fixes for the same. Some other job responsibilities - 1. Lead a project being worked upon by multiple team members and help other team members with any issue, track project timelines at granular level and call out any risks that arises during the project execution. Owned key Page0 metrics such as Policy Engine. Assigned owners to resolve the risks and tracked them to completion. Part of team oncall rotation4. Help other team members with issues and provide guidance as required. Have been a scrum master for the team and drove the sprint planning and tracking activities.
