ABOUT ABHIMANYU SINGH
As an intermediate structural designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), one of the leading architecture, interior design, engineering, and urban planning firms in the world, I apply my knowledge and skills in structural engineering to design and analyze innovative and sustainable buildings and structures. I work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions for complex and challenging projects, such as high-rise towers, bridges, airports, and stadiums. I use advanced software tools, such as ETABS, CSI SAFE, and to perform structural calculations, simulations, and drawings, and to ensure compliance with codes and standards.I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on earthquake and structural engineering. During my studies, I gained valuable research and teaching experience as a graduate research assistant and a graduate advisor, working on topics such as seismic performance, structural health monitoring, and nonlinear finite element analysis. I also developed proficiency in MatLab, Python, AutoCAD, GOM Correlate, and Quantum GIS, which I use to enhance my data analysis and visualization skills.I am passionate about learning new technologies and methods to improve the design and construction of buildings and structures, and to contribute to the advancement of the structural engineering field. I am also motivated by the opportunity to collaborate with diverse and talented professionals and to create lasting and positive impacts on the communities and environments where we work.
