ABOUT ABHIROOP SARKAR

Pursuing a Joint Masters Program in Data science and Artificial Intelligence from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) and University of Birmingham(UoB). Worked on a number of projects in the field of machine learning, data science and other related fields. Completed a few internships to gather knowledge in the domain of research, data science etc. Few Instances: – As a research Intern at Curtin University, created a model based on a lot of government based data, to predict when COVID-19 pandemic would start ceasing. – As an intern at Konverge.ai the team developed a descriptive analysis of BERT and train the language model. –Also deployed a model which scrapped social media data and mapped and searched them on online shopping websites. – Worked on a personal project to detect the hand gesture. Various images of the gestures like \'YO\',\'Thumbs Up\' were used as images for the dataset. Always have been interested to work around with data for creating robust technology solutions.
