Working as Principal Design Assurance Engineer at Zebra Technologies. Previously worked as Principal Computer Vision and AI Algorithm Engineer in the Industrial Machine Vision IMV Business Unit at Zebra Technologies. Experienced in driving a team of highly experienced engineers in the design and development of complex Computer Vision algorithms for real world problems.Prior to this role, I worked as project lead as part of the EMC BU’s EMA program. Drove a distributed team of 10-15 engineers in delivering complex CV/DL algorithms for the EMA project.Prior to joining Zebra, I had a brief stint working at STTARR Innovation Centre, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network in the field of image processing, machine learning/deep learning & algorithm development. Prior work experience includes Research Lead position at Carl Zeiss India. Lead a team of engineers in developing algorithms for medical devices such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems, fundus cameras etc. using cutting edge machine learning and deep learning techniques.Formerly worked as Systems Scientist in the medical image processing domain, developing new algorithms for CT/radiology image processing @ GE Healthcare.Phd. in Physics (Astrophysics) with extensive programming, image processing, data modeling, mathematical & numerical analysis skills.~15 years’ of industry work experience in Research and Development roles in 2D/2.5D/3D Computer Vision, image processing and ML/DL in a variety of domains.Experienced in photogrammetry, Structure from Motion (SFM), point cloud analysis, object detection, SIFT et al.15+ years experience programing in C/C++ and Matlab.~20 years experience working in Linux.Experienced in design and development of computer vision CV/ML/DL algorithms for real world problems. Also worked on financial modeling (interest rate modeling), numerical algorithms, nonlinear optimization & Non Linear programming etc. Technical & computational skills:Hands-on coding in c/c++, python, f77, IDL & Matlab.Code reviewing, debugging code in java, xml & perl etc. Used numerical libraries such as Numerical Recipes, NAG, GSL, LAPACK/BLAS, GDAL etc. Used CVS, SVN & Git for version control.Data Processing softwares used include Definiens, IRAF, PyRAF, Promax & Globe Claritas.
