ABOUT ABHIRAMI MENON
From considering development studies as a potential career choice to switching over to economics, I am currently a final year undergraduate student at Shiv Nadar University who is doing a double major in Economics and Finance. Nonetheless, I have my affinity lying with finance and aspire to build a career in the same. It is the constantly evolving nature of this field that excites me the most as learning never ceases and there is always scope for something new. I am primarily interested in looking at how the realm of finance can be redefined so as to incorporate it into themes with predominant social relevance in order to create a more just and fairer space that is accessible to all. In other words, being able to devise and propose solutions to address intersectional issues by using finance, backed significantly by sound economic understanding, is what I am particularly leaning towards. As a matter of fact, this has further prompted me to pursue a minor in history, namely so that my undergraduate degree comprises a multifaceted approach. Apart from my academic interests, food photography and food blogging largely make up my pastime, ever since I ventured into them three years ago. I am also a travel enthusiast who keenly looks forward to always exploring new places, cultures and experiences.
