Studying tau clearance via autophagy using long term live tissue imaging of primary organotypic brain slice cultures.2. Training & utilizing a supervised machine learning model to automatically detect & quantify autophagic activity in cells.3. Developing CNS cell-specific autophagic flux probe directed to neurons, oligodendrocytes, and astrocytes. Production of CRISPR-Cas9 guide RNAs, tau & αSynuclein specific fluorescent plasmids, and rAAVs.5. Hosted the Beautiful Minds event of Pint of Science 2025 in addition to active participation in outreach activities of promoting science careers and facilitating work experience programs.6. Led the lab sustainability program, resulting in obtaining the LEAF Bronze Certificate.
