As an R&D Chemist in BASF’s Coatings Division, I work on creating and refining high-performance paint formulations for industrial use. My responsibilities include developing customized formulations to meet specific performance goals and applying coatings through spray methods for testing and evaluation.I carry out detailed analysis of wet properties, along with physical and mechanical testing such as adhesion, Tuckon hardness, gloss, scratch resistance, and overall film quality under standard conditions.My role also involves color and surface characterization using advanced tools like BYK-mac i and Wave-Scan to measure L*, a*, b* values, gloss, DOI, and surface texture. In addition, I develop stable pigment dispersions using Eiger mill technology to ensure optimal particle size and uniformity.
