About Abhinav Gupta
It has been a fascinating journey to lead PowerN and to help conceptualize and develop its cutting edge interactive Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven digital environment to facilitate modular construction and manage different stages of a project’s lifecycle from planning, construction, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning. PowerN\'s cloud-based digital platform facilitates data-driven simulation-enabled highly effective construction performance management. It improves efficiency by facilitating real-time coordination among various stakeholders through collaborative tools. It is exciting to see young engineers use this platform at actual construction sites of energy infrastructure facilities. Academically, my active research continues to focus on developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) driven strategies for diagnosis, prognosis, and strategy assessment in nuclear safety. All of this cutting edge technology development has been possible due to our past success in developing probabilistic GAs (genetic algorithms) for heuristic optimization and Bayesian approaches to multi-Hazard risk assessment for external hazards in nuclear facilities.

More than 30 years of R&D experience as an academic and a decade long experience in leading and successfully transforming the industry sponsored Center CNEFS at NC State University has helped me in creating innovative and cutting-edge products for growth of safe and commercially competitive nuclear energy options. PowerN has facilitated the development and dissemination of these unique technological solutions in the commercial space. Interestingly, application of these innovative solutions have also benefited several non-nuclear infrastructure projects.
