ABOUT ABHINAV ADITYA

I’m an engineering student at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, driven by curiosity and a deep interest in how large-scale industrial systems work in the real world. Recently, I completed my summer internship at Reliance Industries Limited, Jamnagar, where I worked on a project focused on the Flue Gas Cooler (FGC) in the FCC unit — an essential and most critical part of the refining process.This was more than just a technical project. I got a first-hand look at how heat recovery systems operate under high temperatures and pressures, what can go wrong in such complex environments, and how small issues like soot deposition or tube leaks can lead to big operational inefficiencies. I also explored ways to improve the reliability of soot blowers and reduce maintenance challenges using design changes and smart components like NRV nozzles and scavenging air systems.More than anything, this experience helped me connect classroom concepts with practical applications. I had the chance to learn from experienced engineers, solve real problems, and contribute to a system that powers a massive part of the plant.I’m excited to keep learning, exploring, and hopefully work in areas where energy, efficiency, and engineering intersect. Whether it\'s refining, energy systems, or process optimization — I’m always up for a challenge that helps me grow and make an impact.
