About Abhimanyu Singh Wazir
I have graduated my Master’s in Environmental and Energy Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK. I am currently working in Earthood as a Project Officer in the Climate change department. Earthood is a pioneering force in the carbon offset verification industry. My main responsibility is conducting the validation and verification of many carbon offset projects aiming to claim carbon credits under various accreditations like United Nations, VERRA, Gold Standard, Global Carbon Council etc. Other duties also include conducting physical and remote site visits, compiling a draft validation/verification report and performing a consistency check on different reports.

Part of ACME’s Carbon & Sustainability vertical, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and hybrid/BESS) across global voluntary and compliance carbon markets including Verra (VCS), Gold Standard, GCC, etc. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead coordination for registration, validation, verification, and issuance of carbon credits under global standards (VCS, GS, GCC,) 2. Manage end-to-end I-REC portfolio across ACME’s renewable energy assets, including project registration, issuance, trading, and documentation with registries (Evident/ICX). Liaise with consultants and auditors for project documentation, audit scheduling, and compliance submissions. Support financial planning through cost & revenue analysis of carbon credit and I-REC transactions, including tariff, PLF, and O&M performance benchmarking. Monitor global and domestic carbon market trends, REC/G-DAM/DAM/RTM mechanisms, and identify monetization opportunities for renewable power attributes. Facilitate internal alignment between project, finance, and legal teams on emission reduction rights, power sale contracts, and carbon revenue sharing agreements with SPVs and offtakers.
