I’m a Business Technology Consultant with ZS Associates. In this role, I work in the Business Technology capability group with the leading global pharma clients and help them in resolving complex business problems through data-driven ecosystem.My Job role can be condensed as follows: • Understanding client’s business objectives (10%)• Leading the overall implementation cycle of Big data analytics-based solutions which includes, requirement gathering, system designing, implementation planning, development phase, system integration and testing.This requires a detailed understanding of Big Data concepts, Data warehousing techniques, ETL processing, SQL, Python, and AI ML algorithms (45%)• Performing different kinds of Adhoc data analysis over the central data warehouse solution. Below are few examples- Checking the sales impact due to multiple business reasons- Analyzing the sales trend to create the fair plan design for incentive compensation- Analysis to define a business rule which will help to design a system to credit the apt sales to a given sales representative (10%)• Assisting clients in finalizing the data warehousing, data analytics, sales compensation and reporting solution for specialty drugs and their specific business requirements (10%)• As my work is to design, develop and implement Bigdata (Hadoop and Spark) based solutions for a very specific set of drugs, it requires in-depth understanding of the nature of a drug, specialty data structure, historical sales trend, available solutions and their implications, clients demand etc. and therefore significant amount of my time goes in business research (5%)• Collaborate with team members in other departments to ensure seamless transition across project phases, from initiation to integration and implementation (5%)• Participate in project planning and design, implement, and manage effective technology solutions that support and enhance critical business processes (5%)• Communicate technical and business requirements to the development team to execute and implement project plans (5%)• Consulting the clients in designing the automation solution for existing operational processes (Majorly using the Python coding)(5%)• Working with clients in designing the functionalities of field facing refinement tools, which helps the clients in extracting the best possible ground level insights and therefore helping them in planning better strategies (5%)
