I am a Software Engineer on Commerce Ads team at Facebook working on Facebook Shops. Facebook Shops make it easy for businesses to set up a single online store for customers to access on both Facebook and Instagram. We’re designing Shops from the ground up to feel like a virtual extension of a business’s identity and storefront. Our goal initially is to complement a business’s website during a time when it’s increasingly difficult to reach customers, but in time, we see Shops as a place that’s more effective than an existing website. Through personalisation, community, messaging and bringing our latest AR investments to bear, Shops can deliver a superior user experience and sales performance to help businesses thrive. I previously worked on Offline Solutions team. Our mission is to create meaningful connections between people and businesses in the real world. We are focused on driving and measuring incremental offline outcomes like store visits or store sales for advertisers with physical stores. I worked on improving our products to drive more value (i.e. incremental outcomes) and building products and infrastructure to measure the impact in consistent and precise manner.
