Responsibilities in my role include the following- Managing the stress team- Defining analysis strategy, processes and methods for Heat Exchanger Stress Analysis- Supporting root cause investigations of test and in-service failures and to provide robust solutions- Approved signatory for Concessions and Technical Variances- Working closely with design, manufacturing, materials and other cross-functional teams to support Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) and develop cost effective solutions- Hands on stress analysis including static (proof, burst, fatigue, creep) and vibration (harmonic response, Random Vibration) analysis- Review and approval of technical reports- Supporting stress activities to achieve organisations technology roadmap- Working with larger Collins group and Universities to achieve the strategic objectives of the department.
