As a Data Acquisition & Community Intern, I support the expansion of HERE’s geospatial data partnerships across India.My role focuses on researching and identifying potential data partners—including drone surveyors, GIS firms, and location data providers—to enrich HERE’s mapping products with new datasets (e.g, EV charging stations, 2D building footprints, POIs, and toll data).Key responsibilities:Sourcing and evaluating firms/startups through LinkedIn, industry events, and online directoriesBuilding an outreach pipeline and maintaining detailed partner information in Excel and internal toolsUsing Selenium and Python to automate parts of the data gathering and enrichment processSupporting the team in partnership discussions by preparing summary reports and data coverage insightsThrough this internship, I’m gaining hands-on experience in data acquisition, geospatial business strategy, and practical web scraping automation.
