ABOUT ABHIJIT PARAB

A Six sigma Green Belt Certified BE Instrumentation Engineer having 6 and half years of work experience of various offshore DCS project planning and execution and on-site activities (FAT, commissioning) at power plants, Desalination plants, Steel plants etc. Offshore activities:• Attending project Kick-off-meetings, understanding client/ project requirement, project concepts and standards, Project Schedule and priorities etc.• Data acquisition, detail input data and document analysis, preparing detail technical offers, DCS database preparation, IO calculation and assignment, components specification and calculation, basic engineering of Hardware (Power supply diagram, loop diagrams), Software (Control and protection logic) and HMI (Dynamic pictures for operation, control and diagnostics) to create project standards document for design freeze, liaison with client for approval of project standards.• Planning project resources and facilities, planning project execution schedule as per priorities and deadlines, detail engineering of HW, SW and HMI as per standards, cabinet, control room and plant network architecture etc• Supervising project execution and guidance to team members, communicating open points/ Queries to Project manager/ client, Quality checks, project submission and handover activities.On-Site activities:• FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with client (component connections, network connections, system power up, server and system setup, parameterisation, troubleshooting, loop checks, simulation etc.)• Commissioning of power plants (super-critical coal fired power plants), desalination and steel plant (Loop checks, protection logic checks, Cold function test of drives and valves, Logic and HMI optimization, start-up support etc.) in KSA and GermanyIn depth knowledge of Siemens DCS and safety system automation industry protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Hart etc.) and standards (ISA, IEC, API etc.)
