I am part of GIARS (Global Institutional accounting & Risk Solutions) team. We are responsible to provide transparent, accurate and timely financial reporting of financial instruments to our institutional clients. We are responsible for accounting of complex Monthly, Quarterly, annually portfolios valuations containing a wide range of asset types including equities, bonds, derivatives (option futures swaps and other complex derivative products like CDS,) hedge funds and commingled funds etc. • Evaluate the financial statements for accuracy and completeness of P&L Account, Balance sheet.• High Level review of the monthly accounting statements for client’s portfolios.• Involved in cash reconciliation, Cash Management & Cash Analysis on TLM for internal reconciliation • Performed monthly reconciliation with the client’s investment manager’s portfolio and make inquiries for any discrepancies• Constantly liaise with the onshore; investment managers, pricing team, corporate action, Trade Capture team & income collection team as well as trading team in order to ensure all breaks have been timely resolved.• Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Financial packs for overall business & individual business segments• Managing customer centric operations, forwarding customer instructions to the concerned department & ensuring customer satisfaction by achieving delivery service quality norm with minimum TAT.• Serve as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) to the new joined employees and make them understand the process flow and help them to understand the system knowledge.• Motivating the team to achieve high standard & KPI (Key Performance Indicator) targets.• Liable for performing monthly weekly control checks to reduce risk and maintaining accuracy.• Ensure internal controls, procedures, and guidelines conform to corporate directives & Human Resources policies.
