About Abhijeet Chodankar
Don\'t aspire to just make a living, aspire to make a difference\" Abhijeet D. Chodankar earned his Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Government of Goa College of Engineering, Goa University, in India. His undergraduate project concentrated on enhancing the efficiency of cooling towers. He subsequently obtained his Master\'s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he developed an extensive model for coupled fluid axial-lateral drill string vibrations, grounded in classical vibration theories. Also, Abhijeet completed his Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering at Florida International University. His doctoral research wass centered on computational fluid dynamics, specifically employing the Lattice Boltzmann Method. He has utilized the Lattice Boltzmann Method to investigate particle dynamics, including sedimentation, plugging, and resuspension, with a particular focus on ion-exchange columns. Following his graduation, he is working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Argonne National Laboratory. Abhijeet is interested in new technologies and learning new languages. He loves to play soccer and, also follows tennis and surfing ardently. Research Interests: Batteries, CFD, Lattice Boltzmann Method, Mechanical Vibrations, Fluid-Structure Interaction, Optimization
