Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution & Operational Oversight • Oversee day‑to‑day site operations to ensure that works are executed as per plans, schedules, drawings, contract specifications and quality standards. • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper allocation and utilization of manpower, machinery, materials. • Monitor progress of works (civil, structure, earthworks etc.), identify bottlenecks and ensure remedial action. Cost & Budget Management • Monitor project costs including material, labour, machinery, subcontractors etc, ensure they are within budgets. • Assist in cost estimation, quantity take‑offs, measurement of works, billing and claims as required. • Follow up with procurement for timely material availability to avoid delays or cost escalations. Reporting, MIS & Documentation • Prepare and submit periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on progress, resource status, cost vs budget, challenges. • Maintain site diaries, measurement books, drawings, as‑built records, variation orders, claims etc. • Ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, aligned with company standards. Stakeholder Management • Coordinate with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities for approvals, inspections, site clearances etc. • Liaise with local authorities on permissions, environment / land acquisition, traffic management etc. • Handle interface issues with other contractors & utilities. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement • Identify project risks (schedule, cost, safety, technical), propose mitigation plans. • Suggest improvements in processes, methods, use of technology to enhance productivity, reduce waste etc. • Ensure compliance with internal audits and external inspections.
