ABOUT ABHIJAY KEMKAR
I am a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia Engineering, pursuing my Master of Science in Robotics and Control. I have a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where I completed my thesis at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My core competencies include motion planning, object detection, and Python programming.As a Graduate Research Assistant, I am working on innovative robotic projects that aim to improve healthcare and mobility. I have designed and developed an ingestible micro-robotic capsule for long-term monitoring of alcohol intake, and an automated robotic platform for contactless vital signs monitoring. I have also contributed to the CommonRoad project, comparing motion planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles. I am motivated by the potential of robotics to enhance human well-being and safety, and I am eager to learn from and collaborate with experts in the field. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked and studied in different countries and cultures.
