ABOUT ABHAY PRATAP SINGH

Statistician with around 12 years of experience in Research, Analytics, Energy Demand scenarios forecasting, and Data Science across various domains, including Energy, Market Research, Public Health, Retail, FMCG, and Automobile Research. Currently, I am part of the Global Energy and Climate Scenarios Modelling team at IHS Markit (now part of S&P Global), where I specialize in refining and developing statistical, econometric and forecasting models and equations for the Global Energy and Climate Scenarios framework.Before joining IHS Markit, I served as a consultant with the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. I have also worked in analytics roles at Tata Consultancy Services, IMRB International, and Publicis Groupe.I possess extensive experience with large datasets, statistical models, causal inferences, and market mix modeling, utilizing software platforms such as EViews, SPSS, R, SmartPLS, and BayesiaLab. I have contributed to interdisciplinary statistical analysis publications and am a member of the Royal Statistical Society, London, UK. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Statistics from Bareilly College, Bareilly, India, and a Master of Science in Statistics from the Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.I am proficient in various statistical modeling techniques, including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM - PLS), Market Mix Modeling, Time series, Econometrics, Multivariate Regression analysis, and Causal Modeling, and skilled in software such as SPSS, SmartPLS, EViews, BayesiaLab, and R.
