ABOUT ABHAY MENON
I’m an Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering student at Purdue pursuing minors in Finance and Accounting, interested in solving business problems in Industrials, Energy, and Power. I started in engineering because I enjoy structured, technical problem-solving. I shifted toward finance and strategy because I wanted to work on decisions that affect entire businesses, not just individual systems.I focus on turning technical understanding into commercial insight. I’ve built operating and valuation models, written investment-style memos on industrial and aerospace companies, and I’m completing formal financial modeling training through the CFI FMVA program. Outside the classroom, I serve as Vice President of the Purdue Squash Club, where I help run a competitive team, coordinate travel and tournaments, and work on sponsorship and funding, which has pushed me to think about execution, accountability, and results, not just analysis.Long term, I see myself in transaction, strategy, or operations-focused roles within Industrials and Energy & Power, where capital decisions and execution discipline matter as much as technology. Right now, I’m focused on building strong analytical skills, learning how firms evaluate complex assets and projects, and connecting with people working in investment banking, consulting, and corporate strategy across these sectors.
