The Little Theatre Group (LTG) is one of Delhi\'s oldest and most prominent cultural institutions dedicated to the growth and cultivation of performing arts. Founded by the late Shri Inder Lal Dass over 70 years ago, the Group staged its first play Society Ke Thekedar in April 1947 at the Sindhi Open Air Theatre in Lahore. Comprising theatre enthusiasts from all walks of life, the Group continued staging amateur theatrical productions all across the country over the next 30 years, winning many accolades and appreciation, until it found its permanent home at the present-day LTG Auditorium at Copernicus Marg. The Auditorium is now a preferred performing arts center for many national and international artists, with a variety of spaces available for hire, state-of-the-art facilities and a steady crowd of patrons that walk through its doors every week. With over sixty decades of performances, concerts, events, and festivals behind it, LTG actively contributes to the vibrant cultural landscape of New Delhi. With a commitment to the growth and development of 21st-century theatre-makers through artistic training, LTG’s annual Repertory program is one of the most selective and intensive theatre-training initiatives in the country. It brings together young, passionate artists who strive to create compelling theatre under the guidance of the Repertory Artistic Director.
