About Adam Bernstein
Adam Bernstein, PharmD, BCPS is a residency-trained pharmacist with expertise in the healthcare data and analytics landscape. He discovered his passion for data analytics when working on an opioid supply chain project as a pharmacy resident. He subsequently completed multiple rotations with the Pharmacy Analytics and Outcomes team at UNC Health before joining them full time after the completion of his PGY1 in Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 in Ambulatory Care.He has analytics experience with multiple types of data while working in health-system, consulting, and health tech settings. Examples include: • Electronic Medical Records • Insurance Claims • Quality Measures (NCQA HEDIS and PQA) • Medication ReferencesAdam values continuous education and has completed multiple online trainings and certificates to further develop skills in Excel, SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, Tableau, and Python. He teaches Excel, SQL and data visualization to graduate students and started Sparx Analytics LLC to make data education for clinicians more accessible.
