About Amy Belmaggio

My decision to join the U.S. Navy 20+ years ago as an Air Traffic Controller started my communications career path. After 5 years serving in the military, I became a wireless consultant to the Government with SkyTel Communications, which shortly thereafter became MCI. I was then recruited to become a Wireless Data Account Executive for the government channel for Nextel Communications in Los Angeles. I was soon to be promoted to a Government Account Manager for Nextel in Dallas, Texas. As I continued my telecom education through my career, I wanted to branch out even further. I chose to move on to Thrane & Thrane as a Strategic Manager for North America to learn more about satellite technology and manufacturing. With my wireless carrier background, I was promoted to Director of Airtime Services to assist with the infrastructure build for a new wireless sector within Thrane & Thrane. I spent some time learning about the technology but soon realized that the future had not surpassed cellular yet and there is much more to learn. As appreciative and grateful I am to having the opportunity to visit cutting edge organizations such as Thrane & Thrane, Inmarsat, and many others in the satellite comms sector, I chose to move back to Sprint Nextel as a dedicated Federal Account Representative in Los Angeles. I was promoted to a Federal Account Manager that assists with the strategy and delivery of new products and services for the Federal Government. I chose to move over to the Samsung B2B organization as Director of sales for the Verizon wireless channel. Samsung products and services partnered with Verizon will aid in cost savings, added productivity, security and safety as well as many other benefits the U.S. Government can gain from the wireless community.
